Role and responsibility
The unit training manager owns the CRP calculation cycle. The S-1 chief reconciles MCTIMS event completion against the CRP roll-up. The S-1 officer briefs CRP trends to the commander and routes the readiness submission to DRRS-MC. The G-1 manpower officer at MEF level rolls up subordinate CRPs into the parent readiness picture.

Processing workflow
- Pull the published METL. Generate the current METL from MCTIMS per MCO 1553.3CMCO 1553.3C paragraph 4.b.(6)(e). The unit training manager pulls.
- Identify E-coded T-R events. For each MET on the approved METL, list the E-coded events from the T-R Manual per MCO P3500.72AMCO P3500.72A paragraph 4002.1.c.
- Pull current completion state. Generate the MCTIMS calendar history showing completed events with date and evaluator.
- Calculate per-MET CRP. Per MCO P3500.72AMCO P3500.72A paragraph 5004, MET CRP equals (number of E-coded events current / total E-coded events for MET) times 100. For example, 3 of 4 E-coded events trained on a MET equals 75 percent MET CRP.
- Sum MET CRPs and divide. Per MCO P3500.72AMCO P3500.72A paragraph 5004 and Figure 5-1, Unit CRP equals sum of MET CRPs divided by total number of METs. Example. MET 1 75, MET 2 100, MET 3 25, MET 4 50, MET 5 75 sums to 325. 325 divided by 5 equals 65 percent Unit CRP.
- Validate sustainment interval status. Confirm each E-coded event sits within the sustainment interval per MCO P3500.72AMCO P3500.72A paragraph 4002.1.e. Lapsed events drop from CRP credit.
- Reconcile against MCTIMS calendar. Cross-check CRP credit against MCTIMS event history. Flag any CRP credit without supporting calendar entry.
- Submit Unit CRP to DRRS-MC. The S-1 officer routes the readiness submission per MCO 3000.13BMCO 3000.13B.
- Brief CRP trends. The unit training manager briefs the commander on CRP movement, MET-level shortfalls, and recovery options.
- Action shortfalls into the next training plan. Roll uncompleted E-coded events into the next cycle plan per MCO 1553.3CMCO 1553.3C paragraph 4.c.(2).

Common pitfalls
- CRP awarded to non-E-coded events. Per MCO P3500.72AMCO P3500.72A paragraph 5001.1, CRP is only assigned to E-coded events. Confirm the E-coded designation before awarding credit.
- Lapsed sustainment interval still counted in CRP. The event sits past the interval and credit continues. Drop from CRP credit at the lapse per MCO P3500.72AMCO P3500.72A paragraph 4002.1.e.
- METL update without CRP recalculation. The CRP picture lags the METL. Trigger recalculation at every METL publication per MCO P3500.72AMCO P3500.72A paragraph 5003.
- Per-MET CRP averaged with weights. The math weighs METs differently than total count. Per MCO P3500.72AMCO P3500.72A paragraph 5004, sum MET CRPs and divide by total METs evenly.
- CRP submission to DRRS-MC without MCTIMS reconciliation. The submission cannot tie back to source data. Reconcile before submission.
Decision points
- Deferred E-coded event impact on CRP. The event was deferred for logistics. Per MCO P3500.72AMCO P3500.72A paragraph 4006.1, CRP credit is NOT awarded for deferred E-coded events.
- Waived E-coded event impact on CRP. The commander waived the event based on prior experience. Per MCO P3500.72AMCO P3500.72A paragraph 4006.2, the unit's CRP DOES reflect credit for the waived E-coded event.
- Chained event credit. The unit completed a 5000-level E-coded event chained to a 4000-level E-coded event. Per MCO P3500.72AMCO P3500.72A paragraph 4005.1, completion of the upper-level event awards CRP credit to the chained subordinate event.
