Scope
MARADMIN 190/26 provides an extension and eligibility update to the Enlisted Career Designation Program (ECDP) established by MARADMIN 076/25. The Fiscal Year 2027 ECDP for senior enlisted Marines becomes effective on release of this MARADMIN. The pilot retains the most experienced Marines by offering a pathway to serve through their Enlisted Career Force Controls (ECFC) date without intermittent reenlistments. Applicability is the Active Component, senior enlisted Marines.
Eligibility update
Marines with an End of Current Contract (ECC) before 30 September 2027 may elect to enter ECDP at their next reenlistment if they meet one of the following criteria.
- Marines selected to Master Sergeant or First Sergeant (E-8) with at least 15 years of service.
- Current Master Sergeant or First Sergeant (E-8) with at least 2 years time in grade or at least 15 years of service.
- Current Master Gunnery Sergeant or Sergeant Major (E-9) with at least 2 years time in grade or at least 15 years of service.
Continuity with reference (a)
All other provisions outlined in MARADMIN 076/25 remain in effect. This message provides only the eligibility expansion. The ECC threshold moves from 30 September 2026 (per 076/25) to 30 September 2027 (per 190/26).
