MARADMIN 438/19 - Special Duty Assignments and Screenable Billets Incentives for Fiscal Year 2021

Scope

MARADMIN 438/19 announces new monetary incentive options for Special Duty Assignment (SDA) and Type-1 (T1) screenable billets for Fiscal Year 2021. The MARADMIN implements MCO 1326.6 SCREENMAN and the ASN(MRA) memorandum dated 2019-08-01. Marines volunteering for or involuntarily selected to SDA or T1 screenable billets on or after 2019-03-01 and assigned to a FY2021 class are eligible. Source page reads CANCELLED. • Recruiters non-volunteer. $375/month, OR $150/month plus $7,000 lump sum.
• Drill Instructors volunteer. $578/month, OR $300/month plus $10,000 lump sum, OR $150/month plus $14,700 lump sum.
• Drill Instructors non-volunteer. $300/month, OR $150/month plus $4,700 lump sum.
• Embassy Detachment Commander volunteer. $428/month, OR $150/month plus $10,000 lump sum. Non-volunteer $150/month.
• Combat Instructors. $150/month, OR $4,700 lump sum.
• MSG Watch Standers and MCSF Guards. $75/month, OR $2,300 lump sum.
• Second tour SDAs. Volunteer incentive options for the 24-month tour length.

Repayment rule

Marines who receive a lump sum but fail to complete the associated tour length are subject to repayment of the unearned, prorated portion.
