MARADMIN 585/24 - Fiscal Year 2026 Enlisted Retention Campaign

Scope

MARADMIN 585/24 announces the Fiscal Year 2026 Enlisted Retention Campaign beginning 2025-01-01. The campaign covers Marines with End of Current Contract (ECC) between 2025-10-01 and 2026-09-30 (FY26 Retention Cohort). Reenlistment channels include Commandant's Retention Program (CRP), standard reenlistments, lateral moves (LATMOVs), Commanding General's Retention Program (CGRP), and Direct Affiliation Program (DAP). Applicability is the Active Component.

Audience

• Marines in the FY26 Retention Cohort. Eligible to reenlist via the listed channels.
• Career planners. Apply submission timelines and channel guidelines.
• HQMC MMEA. Owns the campaign. Releases per-PMOS guidance via TFRS.
• Major Subordinate Commands. Request monitor visits no later than 90 days prior. Primary window 2025-08-01 to 2025-12-15.

Submission timeline

• 2025-01-01. Commandant's Retention Program (CRP). Targeted FTAP LATMOVs (0211, 0321, 0372, 1751, 2336, 3044, 4133, 5821, 7316). SDA and Orders.
• 2025-04-01. First Term Alignment Plan (FTAP) and all FTAP LATMOVs.
• 2025-06-01. Subsequent Term Alignment Plan (STAP), STAP LATMOVs, Senior Enlisted Alignment Plan (SEAP).

CRP framework

• Selects up to 20 percent of a PMOS population based on historical retention performance and Service need.
• Selection driven by Junior Enlisted Performance Evaluation System (JEPES) retention scores.
• Selectees announced via MARADMIN before 2025-01-01.
• Enhanced Duty Station Incentive. Selectees pick an MCC assignment ahead of peers.
• No deadline. Selectees accept reenlistment up until ECC subject to boatspace.

Local Command Authority extensions

Commands authorized to approve LCA extensions beginning 2025-01-01. Marines extend up to 2026-08 to facilitate reenlistments under this campaign. MARADMIN 527/25 Change 1 revised the local extension to 2026-05.
