Hardship Duty Pay-Mission (TTC 125, 136, 175)

Section 1

Hardship Duty Pay-Mission (HDP-M) Assignment.  To be entitled to HDP-M a member (officer and enlisted) must be on Active Duty, assigned, or on temporary duty with or under operational control of the Defense Prisoner, or War/Missing Personnel, Joint Task Force-Full Accounting or with the Central Identification Lab-Hawaii for a specific mission.  Members are entitled to HDP-M for the investigative or the recovery of remains of United States service members in a remote isolated area (including, but not limited to, areas in Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and North Korea).  The entitlement to HDP-M is not prorated, so Active Duty and reserve component members are entitled to a full $150 a month regardless of the number of days on official Active Duty.  A Reserve member is not entitled to HDP-M during a drill period.  A combination of HDP-M, Hardship Duty Pay-Location (HDP-L), and Hardship Duty Pay-Involuntary (HDP-I) cannot exceed a total entitlement of $300 per month.
