- Purpose. This message is labeled Personnel Administration Advisory (PAA) 07-25 and provides updated guidance regarding the completion of DD Form 214 and obligated service requirements for Marines selected to attend the Fiscal Year 2026 Warrant Officer Basic Course (WOBC). This PAA supplements the guidance outlined in references (a) and (b) due to timeline adjustments for the WOBC. All current PAAs are accessible via the MISSA portal under the reference tab. Disseminate this PAA to all subordinate organizations and impacted units as applicable.
- DD Form 214 Generation and Processing. Commanders issuing orders for Marines to attend WOBC will generate a DD Form 214 via the Document Tracking and Management System (DTMS) accessible through Marine Online (MOL). The DD Form 214 will encompass all active-duty enlisted service up to the anticipated appointment date of 1 April 2026. Do not certify, publish, or distribute the DD Form 214 via DTMS until unit personnel confirm the individual's appointment/commission via the Marine Corps Total Force System (MCTFS). Upon appointment/commission confirmation in MCTFS, the DD Form 214 may be certified, published, and distributed in accordance with the current edition of reference (c).
- DD Form 214 Correction/Deletion. If a selectee is deemed unqualified or is not appointed for any reason after executing orders to TBS, the DD Form 214 previously generated in DTMS must __ be deleted. Any hard copy DD Form 214 issued to the Marine must be shredded.
- Standard DD Form 214 Entries. The following blocks/items will be standardized on all 2026 enlisted-to-warrant officer DD Forms 214: Block 13B: 20260331 Block 25: DISCHARGED Block 26: HONORABLE Block 27: MARCORSEPMAN 6404.1 Block 28: KGM1 Block 29: 1A Block 30: ACCEPT COMMISSION OR WARRANT IN SAME BRANCH OF SERVICE All other sections of the DD Form 214 will be completed in accordance with reference (c).
- Obligated Service and EAS. Application to the WO selection board does not, in itself, justify an extension of an End of Active Service (EAS) date or reenlistment. Marines must have adequate time on their contract before reporting to WOBC. Accordingly, Marines with an EAS date prior to the anticipated appointment date of 1 April 2026 must coordinate with their career counselor and Commanding Officer for guidance.
