Scope
DoDD 4500.09 establishes policy and assigns responsibilities for DoD transportation and traffic management activities. The directive sets the DoD exemption to General Services Administration (GSA) transportation policy under Section 501 of Title 40 USC. The directive redesignates Commander, US Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) as the DoD single manager for the DoD Customs and Border Clearance Program.
