Section 1

All reductions in pay grade must be reported and JEPES marks must be reported on the reductions of Corporals and below per Section 4 of this chapter. Ensure that all affected items are reported as required refer to MCO P5800.16_, MCO P1070.12_ Marine Corps Individual Records Administration Manual (IRAM), and DOD 7000.14-R Financial Management Regulation. The two types of reductions are discussed below:

Section 2

Non-Punitive. An administrative (ADMIN) reduction effected by the Commandant of the Marine Corps or a Commanding Officer who has been delegated such authority per MCO P1400.32_ Marine Corps Promotion Manual, Volume 2, Enlisted Promotions:

a.  Reduce personnel by pay grade.

b.  Reduce personnel for incompetence or substandard performance of duty.

Section 3

To correct an erroneous promotion for pay grade E-5 and below report as follows:

Section 4

Punitive. A reduction effected as a result of the sentence of a court-martial is reported using TTC 257 or TTC 262. Utilize the below transaction for a reduction as a result of punishment awarded as non-judicial punishment. When the reduction is suspended, report the occurrence as a historical statement per Paragraph 70504, as applicable. Report as follows:
