Operative paragraphs from the source
- All current PAAs are on the reference tab of the MISSA portal.
- Addressees are requested to readdress this PAA to subordinate commands.
- The purpose of this PAA is to remind all administrators that other service personnel joined permanently, or TAD in excess of 30 days, must be joined to both the Marine Corps Total Force System (MCTFS) and the Unit Management Service Report (UMSR) in Marine Online (MOL). MARADMIN 535/08 mandates the use of MOL as the sole source for commanders to report daily accountability of personnel. It has come to our attention that personnel from other services are being joined to the UMSR, but are not subsequently joined in MCTFS. This occurs when the "Join member to MCTFS" box on the UMSR is not checked.
- Please ensure supporting unit commanders are aware of this requirement. If the block is not checked, the member will eventually fall off the morning report. This is the quickest and easiest way to join other service members to MCTFS. The option of having the join reported via a diary entry in UDMIPS is no longer available. Chapter 6 of the MCTFS Personnel Reporting Instruction User's Manual (MCTFSPRIUM) will be updated to reflect this change.
- The above procedure is for personnel accountability only. All other administrative support to include pay, entitlements, and travel will be managed through the service member's parent service administration.
- This message is applicable to the Marine Corps Total Force.
