Scope
MCO 10110.47A promulgates policy for administering Basic Allowance for Subsistence (BAS) and the meal card program for military personnel, and cancels MCO 10110.47 W/CH 1. Portal BAS pages carry the working rule. BAS is a monthly cash payment offsetting the cost of food, officers almost always draw it, and enlisted members draw it when not on a meal card.
