Scope

MCO P1700.27B is the policy manual for Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS). The manual issues policies governing the management, operation, and administration of MCCS programs across the Marine Corps. It implements DoD and other higher-authority directives where appropriate. Specific operational policies for MCCS programs and support functions are published in separate directives.

Audience

MCCS Directors at every Marine Corps installation. MCCS-affiliated program managers. Marine and Family Programs personnel. Commanders whose installations host MCCS facilities. Marines and family members using MCCS programs including fitness, recreation, family support, and Marine Corps Exchange operations.

Authority

Commandant of the Marine Corps publishes the manual. Deputy Commandant, Manpower and Reserve Affairs (DC, M&RA (MR)) receives recommended changes. Applicable to the Marine Corps Total Force.
