Inactive Duty Overview - ID, IDT, MD, and FHD
Inactive duty is everything reservists do that is not in active duty status. Four primary categories with different pay, points, and admin treatment. The foundation of reserve participation.
Active Duty Training (ADT) and Annual Training (AT)
ADT and AT are reservist active duty performed for training purposes. AT is the annual two-week training period. ADT extends beyond AT for specific training. Both process through MROWS with active duty pay rates.
Funeral Honors Duty (FHD)
FHD is performing military funeral honors at funerals of veterans. Two-hour minimum duration, specific pay rate, separate accounting from regular IDT. Authorized under 10 USC 12503.
Muster Duty (MD) Processing
Muster Duty is short-duration assemblies for member screening, record updates, briefings, and readiness checks. Less common than regular drill but with its own pay and reporting rules.
Process Inactive Duty Training (IDT) Pay (I&I)
I&I procedure for processing reservist IDT pay through Drill Manager and MROWS. Covers regular drill, ATP, RMP, AFTP, and Funeral Honors Duty. T&R event 0111-PERA-2017, 2000-level intermediate skill.
