Role and responsibility

The commander is responsible for the unit's training per MCO 1553.3CMCO 1553.3C paragraph 4.a.(2)(b).1. Marines throughout the unit perform required UTM functions. Functions assign to Marines in training management roles per MCRP 7-20A.5MCRP 7-20A.5 chapter 2. The S-1 officer drafts role designations. The S-1 chief tracks designations against the UTM roster.

8. Track role performance. Audit role performance against the indicators on a fixed cycle.
9. Refresh designations on personnel change. Update the UTM roster at every detach or billet change.
10. Reconcile UTM roster against MCTIMS. Cross-check the local roster against MCTIMS each month per MCO 1553.3CMCO 1553.3C paragraph 4.b.(6)(a).
