Performance Steps for SDAP Processing

Step 1 - Verify Assignment

Step 2 - Verify Qualification

Confirm member meets duty-specific qualifications.

Step 3 - Determine SDAP Level

Common SDAP Errors

1. SDAP continues after transfer. Member transferred from SDA billet but SDAP not stopped. Critical overpayment. Stop retroactive to transfer date.
2. Wrong SDAP level applied. Recruiter at Level 4 instead of Level 5. Update to correct level.
3. SDAP not started at assignment. Member reported to DI billet but SDAP never started. Process retroactive start.
4. Member removed from duty but SDAP continues. Member removed from DI duty for disciplinary reasons but SDAP continues. Stop retroactive to removal.
5. Multiple SDAP rates simultaneously. Some rates may not stack. Verify per MCO 7220.12MCO 7220.12.

Pay Stacking

SDAP generally pays in addition to other allowances and special pays.
