Reserve Medical Care Categories
Per MCRAMM Chapter 6 and DoDI 1241.01DoDI 1241.01, Reserve members access military medical care based on status.
Drilling SMCR Member
During drill weekends and AT.
- Limited military medical care
- Care for service-incurred or aggravated injuries
- LOD coverage if injured during qualifying duty
- TRS for routine care if enrolled
Mobilized Reserve Member
On active duty over 30 days.
- Full TRICARE Prime active duty
- Family TRICARE Prime active duty
- Comprehensive coverage during mobilization
- TAMP coverage after demobilization
Active Reserve Member
On full-time active duty.
- Same as active duty
- Full TRICARE Prime
- Family TRICARE Prime

IRR Member
Generally limited.
